Although at times the weather might not be reflecting it, it’s the summer holidays! Kids get a break from their hard work, and parents are left wondering… how do I fill the six weeks?!
On sunny days we love walking around the park and admiring our beautiful gardens. But rain or shine, we’ve got some fantastic activities planned!
As you know, the Central Lodge project is well under way. While the building renovation is nearly finished, there are so many more layers to our project – one being our summer holiday activities! Each week we focus on a different aspect of the Central Lodge, such as the materials used to create the building, the servants who worked there or the soldiers who lived there.
We love the creativity that the children bring to our sessions and wanted to see how the Central Lodge would look if they had their say…
Bolckow’s crest can be seen on the Central Lodge – but this version is a lot more colourful!
What’s better than fish scale tiles? Rainbow fish scale tiles!
Marton Hall servant Mary Elizabeth Edwards has had a bit of a makeover!
The activities are all completely free and are every Wednesday from 1pm to 3pm in the Visitor’s Centre.
